python - What does [..., :3] mean when indexing an array?

I've seen this line of Python code (using "skimage" package):

source_image = resize(source_image, (256, 256))[..., :3]

I understand that the "resize" function returns an array, but I don't understand what the [..., :3] means. Also, what is the meaning of the array returned by the "resize" function? Can anyone help? Thanks.
