I'm running R studio on a work laptop with 16 GB of ram and a Intel Core i5 2.80GHz processors.
It seems like roughly half the time I run a segment of code there will be a 15-20 second delay before it starts processing. It doesn't matter what code i'm running - even with '2+2' it will take that long before spitting out 4. I don't seem to have this issue with Python at all.
Can anyone suggest any obvious things to check? Unfortunately the laptop is heavily locked down due to who my employer is, so i'm limited in the things I can change.
